Lynette Marais (19**-). Actress, stage manager, theatre administrator and director.

Career

She was the administrative head of PACT since 1982. She then became the director of the Grahamstown Festival.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She starred in Kinkels in die Kabel by André P. Brink in the 1970’s. She commissioned Janice Honeyman to adapt and direct Charles DickensHard Times for PACT in 1989.

Performed in House of Blue Leaves, Antigone, The White Liars, Kinkels in die Kabel (1970), Erfgenaam and Troilus and Cressida. Was stage manager for PACT English drama.
