Louis Ife (19*-) Actor, radio personality [?*] and playwright.

Biography

He was married to the actress Barbara Konghorn.

He has appeared on stage in Dear Me, The Sky is Falling (1963), [Hamlet]] (PACT 1964), Treasure Island (The Children's Theatre 1964), Twelve Angry Men (1965), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (PACT 1965), One for the Pot (1967), Big Night for Shylock (1968), Uproar in the House, (1968), Canterbury Tales (musical) (JODS 1970), Major Barbara (PACT 1975).

His plays were produced by the East Rand Theatre Club over the years. Among them were his comedy Till Bed Do Us Part, staged by himself and his then wife Barbara Kinghorn at The Little Theatre(Corner House Building, Johannesburg) in Novermber 1973 as the opening production. It was directed by Rex Garner and starred Ife and Kinghorn.

He wrote and directed Not Adultery, but Adulteration (1974). He also wrote Murder in Mind.
