1984: Ferreira's Afrikaans translation, My Seuns, was staged by PACT in the State Theatre in Pretoria and in the Alexander Theatre in Johannesburg, directed by Bobby Heaney, with Louis van Niekerk (Joe), Lida Botha (Kate), Johan Engelbrecht (Chris), Karin Fourie (Ann), Francois Viljoen (George), Louis Minnaar (Dr Bayliss), Jocelyn Broderick (Sue), Gys de Villiers (Frank), Ilse Swanepoel (Lydia) and Hennie Bouwer/Sarel Pretorius (Bert). Design by Andrew Botha and lighting by Jannie Swanepoel.
