Laurika Rauch (1950- ) [1] is a South African singer and songwriter. She graduated in Drama from the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in 1972. Before becoming a highly popular singer, she performed in a number of stage productions, including Old King Cole, That Skelem Scapino, Witwater se Mense, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and as a singer and pianist in Fangs. Also did Theatre in Education work. (SACD 1977/78) (SACD 1978/79). She starred in an adaptation of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris called Encore Brel, directed by Taubie Kushlick circa 1975.
