DENNIS, David. (19*-) Actor. Born in Cape Town, * . Studied drama at the [[University of Cape Town. Winner of the Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Most Promising Student in 1982. **
A most versatile and talented actor, he has won numerous awards over the years, including The Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor in four plays in 1984 (i.e. Vamp, Falstaff, The Taming of the Shrew and Celebration) for Loot (1996) and Twelfth Night (1998). Other fine performances were in Greek (19*), *, The Rocky Horror Show (Baxter Theatre/CAPAB, 1993). He played Claudio in Measure for Measure, Maynardville (1987).
Other roles include David Nissen's The Prince and the Sphinx (198*), Pieter Toerien’s production of Lend Me a Tenor (1990); Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show (1992).
