Also known by its acronym PET. The People's Experimental Theatre (PET) was formed in Lenasia in March 1973, in reaction to the death of Mthuli Shezi in 1972 and the banning of the SASO and TECON executive in 1973.
PET was led by **?? Solly Ismael and Sadeque Variava (editor of the PET Newsletter).
Short-lived, it was closed down by banning order in 19**.
