Het Jan Marais Fonds ("The Jan Marais Fund", acronym HJMF) is a fund created to support the education, research, social projects and cultural activities in Afrikaans.
Not to be confused with the Het Jan Marais Nationale Fonds (HJMNF)
Contribution to theatre, film, media and performance activities
Numerous cultural projects, including festivals and plays, have been funded by this fund over the years.
In 2025 an initial one year grant was made to the Africa Open Institute at Stellenbosch to process and catalogue the ESAT Archives (with an option for two more years).
