There are two South African dramatic works with this title

The Road: a play by Zakes Mda

First published in The Plays of Zakes Mda by Ravan, followed by Zakes Mda: Four Works, University of the Witwatersrand Press, 1993.

First performed at the Little Theatre, Ohio University, directed by Seabury Quinn Jr in 1982. Awarded the the Christina Crawford Award (of the then American Theater Association) in 1984.

First production in Lesotho was by Lesiba Players in 1985,

Performance history in South Africa
