Travelling Shots is a play by Paul Slabolepszy (1948-).

The original text

The play consists of seven loosely linked pieces dealing with people 'on the move' in South Africa, was written with six actors in mind who share the various roles (four men, two women).

The text contains the following pieces:

The 1988 Author's Note suggests that the plays "can of course be performed individually"


Performance history in South Africa

First performed on 15 June 1988, at the Dalro Theatre, Windybrow, as part of PACT's Pot Pourri Festival.

1988: Staged by PACT in the State Theatre in Pretoria and the Windybrow Theatre in Johannesburg, directed by Paul Slabolepszy, with James Borthwick, Jacqui Singer, Judy Broderick, Stephen Jennings, Christopher Wells, Jonathan Pienaar and Dan Sebogodi.

1989: Presented by the Baxter Theatre and Snap Productions in April in the Baxter Concert Hall, directed by Paul Slabolepszy, featuring Eric Nobbs, Kate Edwards, Judy Broderick, Wayne Robins, Jonathan Pienaar and Samson Khumalo. Lighting by Sydney Jansen.
