Biography
She studied at the University of Pretoria under Truida Louw and Anna Neethling-Pohl.
She was married to filmmaker Koos Roets before her marriage to playwright Chris Barnard who passed away in December 2015.

Stage roles include Arme Marat (1968), Moenie Praat Nie, Ampie, As ons twee eers getroud is, Die Drie Van Der Walts (PACT 1969), Drie Susters (PACT 1970), Koning Lear (CAPAB 1971), Die Seemeeu (PACT 1972), Kringloop van die Liefde (PACT 1968), Ampie Oppie Diekens (PACT 1972).
She directed the stage play Die Twaalfuurwals in 2007.
She had a lead role in the television series Willem.
She had a role in the radio play Pendoring & Seun, 1994.
She was the producer of films such as Die Storie van Klara Viljee (1992), Fiela se Kind (1988), Paljas and Die Wonderwerker.
