Peggy Pryde (fl. 1900) was a vaudeville and/or circus performer

Biography

Born in 1869, she was the daughter of music hall singer, Jennie Hill.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She was either a member of the Tivoli Theatre company or a member of Frank Fillis' Circus, and was one of the solo participants in the Bloemfontein Flood Benefit (a matinee benefit performance for the sufferers in the disastrous flood in Bloemfontein), put on in the Cape Town Opera House by a company brought together for the purpose by Grant Fallowes.
