The original text

A adaptation by Fransi Phillips and director Ilse van Hemert of Phillips's short surrealistic novella Sewe en Sewentig Stories oor 'n Clown ("Seventy-seven stories about a clown", 1983).

The original book was short-listed for the Rapport Prize for Literature in 1986.
