He has appeared on stage in Yerma ( as “Juan”), Romeo and Juliet (as “Romeo” at Reps Theatre and in Bloemfontain), Electra (as “Messenger”), La Musica (as “Michelle”), Twelfth Night (as “Sebastian” with NAPAC), Two into One, Clouds (as “Angel” at the Academy Theatre) and as “Ariel” in the Brickhill-Burke production of The Tempest together with Hugh Rouse on 8 March 1975 at His Majesty's Theatre.
James starred in numerous films and television productions such as the series Willem.
