Aandster Ver ("evening star far") is an Afrikaans musical by Xander Haagen (1924-2000).

The original text
Written, composed and directed by Haagen, it was at the time billed as the first genuine Afrikaans musical in the original programme.
Translations and adaptations
Performance history in South Africa
1961: First performed by the music department at the University of Pretoria, directed by Haagen, with a cast that included Barbara Veenemans (as "Tessa"), Mathilde Hanekom ("Bessie"), Marita Knobel and George Kok.
