Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He became a member of Volksteater in Pretoria and played the lead in Koning Oidipus by Sophocles (in the Afrikaans translation by Theo Wassenaar ), in 1938, directed by Isobel de Waal. He also appeared in a production of Die Soldaat in 1939.
