Madeleine Usher (b. 10/09/1943) was an actress.
Biography
Born to Pieter (Peter) Usher and Kathleen Millichip, Madeleine Cynthia Usher attended a convent school and matriculated from Durban Girls’ College. She was second runner-up in the 1962 Miss South Africa contest and was offered the part of Bob Courtney’s daughter in Jamie Uys’s Lord Oom Piet (1962) straight out of school. This was followed by a role in the Jim Reeves movie, Kimberley Jim (Emil Nofal/1963). She made only four films after that: Mozambique (Robert Lynn/1964), The Winners (Emil Nofal & Roy Sargeant/1972), The Savage Sport (Keith G. van der Wat/1973) and The Winners II (Jans Rautenbach/1977). On stage she appeared in Wait a Minim! (1962), directed by Leon Gluckman, and Come Blow Your Horn (1964), directed by Rick Arden. She married Marcus Davidson in 1964 and the couple have four children.
