She was a member of Ons Teatertjie Toneelgroep for which she performed in Boumeester Solness (1935), Terwyl daar Basaar gehou word (Marie Linde, 1936), Rooibruin Blare (H.A. Fagan, 1936).
As member of Volksteater in Pretoria she appeared in 18 plays for them between 1936 and 1942, including Die Wildsboudjie (Steyn, 1940), Maria Stuart (Schiller, 1941), Dagbreek (Wynand du Preez, 1941) for the Krugersdorp Municipal Dramatic and Operatic Society (Dir. Hermien Dommisse).
