The Hole in the Wall is a farce in two acts by John Poole (1786-1872)[1]

The original text
It was first performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London, in 1813 and published by J.M. Richardson in the same year. It may on occasion have been performed under the title The Secret, or The Hole in the Wall (e.g. in Baltimore, 1843).
