Een Bloedgetuige ("the blood witness") is a Dutch play in 4 acts, described as a dramatised historical sketch ("historisch-dramatische schets") for 10 performers and attributed to "N.N." (pseudonym of J. Schuitemaker, the publisher) by F.C.L. Bosman, 1980.
Also found as De Bloedgetuigen.

The original text
Written for the Rederijkers, it was published in Volume 4 of Poëzij voor Rederijkers by P.M. van de Made, Amsterdam, in 1858.
Translations and adaptations
Performance history in South Africa
1871: Performed as De Bloedgetuigen by Aurora II in the hall of the Germania Hall, Cape Town on 6 July, with De Twee Huisknechts (Arnold) as an afterpiece.
1872: Performed as Een Bloedgetuige by Aurora II in the hall of the Germania Hall, Cape Town on 5 November, with De Kater, of De Verdronken Minnaar (Van Hogezand) as an afterpiece.
