Went abroad in 1930, returned to Pretoria as a teacher of elocution and voice.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Performed in Stephanie Fauré's Ampie (Jochem van Bruggen, 1930).
Acted in Leonie Pienaar and Company's Die Veroweraar De Veroveraar (Simons-Mees, 1933/4).
Active in the formation of Ons Teatertjie (later the Volksteater) in Pretoria in 1935. Appeared for them in Ousus (H.A. Fagan, 1936), *
Directed Katrina (P.W.S. Schumann, 1937), Die Meul Dreun (1939).
