Meester is stage play in four acts by D.F. Malherbe (1881-1969). About a travelling Dutch teacher in a rural area who falls in love.
First production by the GUK Dramatic Society, directed by D.F. Malherbe, with himself in the cast, along with Benedictus Kok and Bram Fischer (1929). First published Nasionale Pers, 1927.

Directed by Annie Basson, with Hannes Müller, Susan Coetzer, Eric Nobbs, Danny Keogh, Tess van Staden, Lida Botha, Johan Botha, Elize Cawood, Wilson Dunster, Nico Liebenberg, Neil Sandilands, Rochelle Spies and Gilbert Terblanché. Broadcast in 1992, it won the SABC prize for TV dramas.
