He played in a student production of The Threepenny Opera in 1987.

He directed Talk Radio (1998), The Great Gatsby, Veldfire (2002). He wrote and directed Gums and Noses (2002), co-directed Elephant of Africa (early 1990s). They Say Heaven is like TV was directed by Craig for PACT, winning the Vita Potpourri Prize in 1992.

He wrote the plays The King of Laughter, Gorfinkel & Son (staged at the Barney Simon Theatre Feb-March 2000) (NELM catalogue),

He directed An Unromantic Comedy by Rosalind Butler at Sandton's Theatre on the Square, 2013.

Wrote and/or directed the feature films Gums and Noses (2004), Jozi (2010) and Material (2012).
