De Echtgenoot Kluizenaar ("the husband hermit"), is a 1809 Dutch translation by Cornelis van der Vijver of Die Beichte ("The Confession") by August Friedrich Ferdinand von Kotzebue (1761-1819)[1]. The translation was based on Le Mari Ermite by Jean François Boursault-Malherbe, the 1807 French version of Von Kotzebue's original German play.
