Da [1] is a 1978 comedy play by Irish dramatist Hugh Leonard [2] (1926-2009). It earned Leonard both a Tony Award [3] and a Drama Desk Award [4] for Best Play.

1979: Performed at the André Huguenet Theatre, Johannesburg and at the Baxter Theatre, Cape Town for Toerien-Firth Company, directed by Leonard Schach. The cast: Michael McGovern (Charlie Now), Garalt MacLiam (Oliver), Godfrey Quigley (Da), Ann Courtneidge (Mother), Michael Maxwell (Young Charlie), Bill Smale (Drumm), Corinne Willoughby (Mary Tate and Pauline Bailey (Mrs Prynne).
