Performance history in South Africa
John Gassner's modernised version was produced by Beth Dickerson, presented by the Rhodes University Drama Department in April 1969 starring Felicity Whitcher, Frantz Dobrowsky, Ian Walters and Stephen Gurney. Music by Professor Georg Gruber. It was presented in a double bill of two comedies, the other being Menaechmi.
