A Trinity of Two, a play about the trials of Oscar Wilde, by Ulick O'Connor. The action of the play takes place in the Caliysa Cafe, Paris in 1900 during the last year of Oscar Wilde's life, the Atheneum Club, London in 1928 and the 74th year of Edward Carson's life, and the Old Bailey in April 1895 when Carson and Wilde were the chief protagonists in the trial.
Performance history in South Africa
1989: First performance in South Africa May 18, 1989 in the Alhambra Theatre. Presented by Pieter Toerien, directed by Maralin Vanrenen, starring Michael Atkinson as Oscar Wilde and Neville Thomas as Edward Carson. Lighting and set co-ordination by Jannie Swanepoel, costumes co-ordinated by Alison Yates. Moved to the Theatre on the Bay from 19 July 1989.
