Training
Completed a bilingual Performer's Diploma at the University of Cape Town.
Career
Since completing her studies she has been freelancing. She has coached acting privately and taught voice and interpretation at AMAC in Cape Town.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She portrayed Ingid Jonker in the stage production Altyd Jonker, acted in Ek, Anna van Wyk. Other performances include Smag, Diepe Grond, 1995, As You Like It, Samoerai, The Taming of the Shrew (1996), Skelmstreke, The Tent, Darkie, The SA UFO Crash (1999),

Nicola has also directed and written plays and physical theatre for stage and has made her own short film, Maar anyway, nog 'n Dooie Feeverhaal.
Wrote and performed Hol, at the 7th Artscape Spring Drama Season in 2011.
Wrote and directed the trilogy Lot, Betésda and Babbel, which, between them, won six Kanna Awards at the KKNK in 2012.

In Glas KKNK 4-11 April 2015 strarring Tinarie van Wyk-Loots, Paul du Toit, Stian Bam, Bronwyn van Graan and Sive Gubangxa.
Television credits include Plek van die Vleisvreters and Transito for KYKnet. She also acted in the internationally acclaimed Human Cargo.
Highlights in her film experience include Husk (a short film screened at Cannes, 1999) and String Caesar. Played Rooisarie in the film Hond se Dinges (2009) and the role of the doctor's wife in the film Faan se Trein (2014).

Her play Lot was translated into English by Ilze Brüggeman, entitled Fate. Published by Proyecto 34°S, 2011.
Awards
Nominated for a Fleur du Cap Award for her portrayal of Ingid Jonker in the stage production Altyd Jonker and received a Vita Award for best supporting actress in Ek, Anna van Wyk.
She received a Stone award for her role in the film Husk.
Hol 2012 Fleur Du Cap Award - Best Performance in a One-Person Play.
She was awarded the Onbeperk Prize for Innovative Thinking by the KKNK, 2014.
Awarded the Eugène Marais Prize for Die Pad Byster in March 2015.
