EMERY, Gideon (1972- ). British born South African actor. [1]

Biography

Born in the UK in 1972, family moved to Johannesburg when he was four years old.

Training

A graduate of the Wits School of Dramatic Arts, 1993.

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Played in Heel Against the Head as Ma-Loom, 1995, Children of the Wolf 1997.

Wrote and performed a one-man show Thin Man Talking. First staged at the Grahamstown Festival in 1996.

Appeared in Death of a Salesman (directed by Bobby Heaney, Baxter Theatre, 2001)

Wrote and acted in The Great Glendini, opening 6 August 2001, directed by Amanda Lane.

Acted in Lane & Abel, 1998, Sleeping Around, August 1999, Certified Male, December 2001.
