It was developed through the State Theatre and premiered at the 2005 Grahamstown Festival with Patricia Mlambo, Tebogo Maboa, Pogiso Mogwera, Prince Sithole, Ntshepiseng Eunice Montshiwa, Presley Chweneyagae, Karabo Kgokong, Refilwe Mokgotlhoa, Mahlubi Kraai, Thabo Sekgobela, Zenzo Nqobe, Innocentia Manyaka, Kedibone Christina Tholo, Nyiko Prince Sithole, and Fumani Shilubana in the cast. Directed by Mpumelelo Paul Grootboom and Presley Chweneyagae. The play has since been widely performed in South Africa and the UK.
