The original cast included Jon Cartwright, Jonathan Duff, Alex Ferns, Paul Herzberg, Peter Landi, Lucian Msamati, Oscar Pierce, Antony Sher as Demetrios Tsafendas, Cleo Sylvestre, Christopher Wells, Marius Weyers as Hendrik Verwoerd and Jennifer Woodburne as Betsie Verwoerd.
