Marie Schutte (19**-2014) was a teacher, playwright and author of children's stories.

Biography
Marie was married to actor Pieter Hauptfleisch and is the mother of Gus Hauptfleisch and Konrad Hauptfleisch.
She taught at
Publishing under her maiden name, she is well known for her radio dramas, she also wrote many plays for schools, including 'n Handvol Skille. None have been published. She won some awards for her published children’s stories later in her life.
She co-wrote the script for the Afrikaans film Die Lewe Sonder Jou ("Life without you", 1972) with author and filmmaker Dirk de Villiers.
She passed away in 2014.
