John Tiller (1854-1925) was a British director and choreographer.

Biography
Born John Thomas Ibbotson Tiller, on 13th June 1854 Manchester, England.
He established "The Tiller Girls", the worlds longest running dance group, in 1894. The current Tiller Girls are performing at the London Palladium 128 years later.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
In 1913, John Tiller's Company toured South Africa, presenting a version of Jack and Jill by John Tiller, Arthur Sturgess and Hermann Finck presented by the John Tiller Company at His Majesty's Theatre, Johannesburg (April), Theatre Royal, Durban (June/July), His Majesty's Theatre, Johannesburg (August) and the Opera House, Cape Town (September).
