According to Brian Darnley's biography (https://www.silverbirchingtonplays.com) and Greyventein's thesis, it seems the company Theatre Roundabout was founded in Durban by Brian Darnley in about 1975. It played a season of four plays at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg in December 1975 and then at the Space Theatre in Cape Town in January 1976.
