Die Oosterlig ("The Eastern Light") was an afternoon Afrikaans language newspaper

The newspaper

First published in Port Elizabeth in 1937, it later became known simply as Oosterlig and, after its purchase by the Cape Town based Die Burger on May 1, 1993, it was renamed Die Burger Oos ("The Burger East").
