Legends of Rock

A nostalgic music revue, devised and directed by Darryl Nel, featuring the music of Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Petula Clark.

The show was performed at the Port Elizabeth Opera House and Guy Butler Theatre in July, August 2006 with a 9-piece band, including Darryl Nel (vocals & keyboard), vocalists Niqui Cloete-Barrass & Marelize Booyens, David van Wyk (drums), Andrew Warneke (bass guitar), Howard Nock (lead guitar), John Lawrie (rhythm guitar), Marlon Louis (trumpet), Kyle du Preez (trombone), and Alison Canter as Peggy Sue.
