Born in Bredasdorp, brother of the author Audrey Blignaut,
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Compiler and editor of the one act play collection Die Beskermengel, en Ander Eenbedrywe (Tafelberg, Cape Town, 1962)
Translator and adapter of the Flemish novel Di Verlossing ("the salvation") by Willem Elsschot, as a radio drama called Die Verlossing, which he then directed for the broadcast.
