Parasiten ("Parasites") is a German play by Marius von Mayenburg (1972-)[1]
Contents
The original text
A German play first performed in 1999, it is a play about four young people who are so physically and psychologically dependent on each other, that their situation takes on parasitical dimensions.
The text published with the play Feuergesicht in 2003.

Translated into English as Parasites by Laurent Muhleisen.
Translated into Afrikaans as Teer by Saartjie Botha.
Performance history in South Africa
2007: Produced by Saartjie Botha, directed by Jaco Bouwer with Nicola Hanekom, Neels Coetzee, Leon Kruger, Eben Genis, and Nicci Schoeman. Stage manager: Wolf Britz.
