He translated a number of plays into Afrikaans for the André Huguenet company. These included The Stranger Within by Crane Wilbur as As Mure Kan Praat ("If the walls could talk" - 193*), Wuthering Heights by Emily Brönte as Helshoogte ("Hell's Heights" - 194*). He also translated Ladies in Retirement entitled Die Rooi Pruik.
