L'altro figlio (“The other son”) is a play by Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936)[1]

The original text

Originally written as a short story called "L 'altro figlio" (1902) and published in Novelle per un anno in 1902. In 1923 Pirandello adapted his story as a one-act play.


Translations and adaptations

Adapted into a film in 1954, directed by Franco Enriquez[2]

Translated into Afrikaans as Die Ander Seun (“The other son/boy”) by F.P. van der Merwe. Published by Tafelberg in the play collection Skouspel, edited by Jan B. Vermaak ().
