Jan B. Vermaak (1941?-2026) was a language teacher, author and compiler of collections of plays and other literary works.

Biography

Born Jan Bethesda Vermaak in 1941 or 1942.

Married to Adinda Vermaak, and the couple had four children. They lived in Kuilsrivier where he was an inspiring teacher with a love of Afrikaans and music, and a subject advisor for Drama in the Western Cape

He published a number of works related to his interests.

He passed away at the age of 85 in Bellville on 12 February, 2026.
