Biography
Born Jacobus Petrus Adriaanse on 20 May, 1985, in Durbanville, he generally known as Beer Adriaanse. He attended Gene Louw Primary School in Durbanville and the Paul Roos Gimnasium in Stellenbosch, before attending the University of Stellenbosch (obtaining a BA and B.Phil. in journalism) and the University of Cape Town (M.Phil. in film and media).
He first became well-known as a founding member of, and the drummer for, the Afrikaans rock band Zinkplaat.

He has appeared in the films: Johnny is nie dood nie (2016), Forever (2016), Wonderlus (2017, as "Lukas"), Canary (2018), For Breakfast (2018), Parable (2020).
He has appeared in a number of TV Series, including, Neighborhood Watch (2015), Hotel (2016-2020, as "Thomas van As") and Fine Print (2018-2020, as "Piping Hanekom").

He wrote, co-produced and co-directed the short film Beskermhere (2013), co-wrote (with Jaco Adriaanse) and directed the movie Parable (2020)
