Fallen Angels is a play by Noël Coward (1899-1973)[1]
Contents
The original text
Written in 1923, the play opened at the Globe Theatre, London, on 21 April 1925 and ran until 29 August. It deals with the story of two wives admitting to premarital sex and contemplating adultery, a theme that initially led to problems with the Lord Chamberlain's office.
It was also performed in the Amsterdam Municipal Theatre in 1926 (but banned after a few performances), on Broadway in 1927,
Translations and adaptations
Translated into French as Le Printemps de Saint-Martin, it was performed in Paris in 1928 and again in 1945.

1969 or 1970: A Pieter Toerien and Basil Rubin production was directed by Jean Doe (?) at the Alexander Theatre, Johannesburg, with Hermione Gingold and Joan Heal in the cast.
1975: Presented at The Space (Cape Town) directed by Keith Grenville, with Neels Bezuidenhout, Paddy Canavan, Grethe-Maria Fox, Pietro Nolte, John Ramsbottom and Maggie Soboil. The stage manager was Fatima Dike.
1982: Presented by CAPAB in 1982 directed by Michael Atkinson starring George Jackson, Ronald Wallace.
1983: Presented by NAPAC, performed in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Balgowan, Newcastle, Vryheid, Ladysmith, Uvongo, Kokstad, 17 October to 12 November.
