Een Hongaarsche Samenzwering ("The Hungarian Plot") is a Dutch verse tragedy in five acts by A.S.C. Wallis (1857-1925)[1].

The original text

A tragedy about the rebellion of the Hungarian aristocracy against the Habsburg Empire in the 17th century.

Published as Een Hongaarsche Samenzwering (and styled a "Treurspel in vijf bedrijven") by H.D. Tjeenk Willink & Zoon, Haarlem, in 1905.

1919: Performed (according to F.C.L. Bosman, 1980, as De Hongaarsche Samenzwering) in Cape Town under the patronage of the ANV (Algemeen Nederlandsch Verbond) by Ons Spreekuur from Stellenbosch.
