First published by Voortrekkerpers in 1938. Subsequently re-printed 1942, 1955, 1957 and 1960.
Performance history in South Africa
1938: Performed by the Volksteater in Pretoria on 11 and 12 August, 1938, directed by Paul R. Skawran.
