Red Rand is a play by Lewis Sowden. A serious play about the white miner’s strike on the Witwatersrand in 1922 and the social consequences of mining capitalism.

Unpublished manuscript in the Witwatersrand University Libraries, A406. There is no mention in SACat of it having been published. [I think it has been – I think I’ve seen it. TH]
