Trevor Hicks was a well-known Port Elizabeth amateur actor and producer who alternated between the two roles.

Biography
Trevor Hicks played the part of David Askelon in Helen Mann's production of Peter Shaffer's philosophical drama, Shrivings, played the stammering Duke of York in Lorna Levenson's production of the abdication play, Crown Matrimonial for PEMADS, directed and played one of the leads in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Bog Friend and played Puck in Helen Mann's 1982 A Midsummer Night's Dream. He directed My Fair Lady, for G & S, and played Jaques in Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Apart from directing the two G & S presentations, he choreographed them as well.
