My First Fit of the Gout is a comedy in one act by J.M. Morton (1811–1891) [1].

The original text

His very first farce, it was produced in the Queen's Theatre, London, in March, 1835. Published by T.H. Lacy (Lacy, vol. xi) and as a French's Acting Edition in 1873(?).

1859: Performed as My First Fit of the Gout on 28 July in the Harrington Street Theatre by the Cape Town Dramatic Club, with To Oblige Benson (Taylor) and An Unwarrantable Intrusion (Morton).
