Michelle Botes (born 1962.) South African actress for stage and screen.

Biography
Born in Cape Town. She was married to the actor Ian Roberts.
Training
Michelle went to Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town, graduating with a Performer's Diploma in Speech and Drama (Bilingual) and a Teaching Diploma in the early 1980s.
Career
Began as a member of the CAPAB Youth Group, Touring the Cape provice presenting literature through Library Tours.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student she had roles in Lusistrata (1980), The Winter's Tale (1981) and The Ride Across Lake Constance (1983).
As a professional actress she has appeared on stage in Getting Out (1983), Die Proponentjie (1986), Palang van Dwaal (1998), Tot Die Dood Ons Skei (KKNK 2000), Ons vir Jou (2008).
Other production include Minnaar onder die Wapen (Windhoek, 1987), James Whyle’s Hellhound (Upstairs at the Market, 1992).
She became a household name through her roles in TV series like Arende (198*), Isidingo (1998-2007) and Binnelanders (2007-).
Awards, etc
She was nominated for an Artes Award for her role in Triptiek (best actress in SABC TV1).
