Attended UCT Drama School for two years.
Career
He was a member of the CAPAB Drama Company in the mid-1990s. He has also worked for PACOFS, the Baxter Theatre and The Space and has done TV and radio work.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
His many theatre credits include Vatmaar, Kanna hy kô Hystoe, Tienuur Maak Die Deure Oop, Periandros van Korinthe and Green Man Flashing. He has taken part in various national school tours of Shakespearean works including King Lear, Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night and Othello.
Miss Margarida's Way (Baxter Theatre).
His television work includes roles in Sexy Girls, Beelde, Vuurtoring and Zap-Zap, and he has appeared in the German feature film Of Love and Death. André was last seen at the Baxter Theatre when he performed in the PlayGround performed reading and later performance of Shirley, Goodness and Mercy (Baxter 2007).
A Midsummer Night's Dream 1988.
Worked for CAPAB: Kinkels innie Kabel, Die Tou, Die Park and Elizabeth I. Children's show: Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella and various others. To Kill a Mockingbird. Played the role of Snug in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Maynardville in 1995.
