A South African radio station, part of the national public broadcasting service run by the SABC. It is the name given to the SABC's original SABC English Service or SABC A Service in 1985. In 1995 it was in turn renamed SAfm. Under these various guises the service has been covering the news and canvassing the opinions of the country since the 1930s.
